The Big Work from Home Divide
Are you a Work from Home Dad? An Internet Entrepreneur? An Affiliate Marketer? Or perhaps a Mommy Enterprise? Or none of the above???
If you were looking to break out of the 9-5 job which of these work from home blogs might you be tempted to look at? I’d probably take a look at the first two or three but to be honest Mommy Enterprises wouldn’t really interest me, where as my wife would probably ignore the first three chose and plough ahead with Mommy Enterprises.
These blogs all have different target markets and demographics and that’s a good thing as far as getting relevant information is concerned for the reader, but in the case of the “Working at Home” niche there is more of a cross-over than perhaps any other industry. They have information relevant to their niche, but much of the content could be interchangeable.
So, whichever niche you put yourself into, why not take ten minutes to take a look to see what the other half is doing, you never know what you might learn.

I already know what the other half is doing it spending every waking moment on survey sites
Survey sites are ok but most work from home people now are cheesing white label sites. They are a good source of income and if you have a lot of friends on facebook or myspace then you are sure to earn at least a few quid each month. Refering friends to sites is a good way to arn a bit of extra cash. But what if you could own your own website? FOR FREE. you would think I was talking out my backside. But as long as you have an email address you can. You could start your own dating website for free and prepopulate it with members so it doesnt look empty to people visiting it. All that it requires is marketing it correctly, this is where your myspace and facebook come in, also blogging and forums. I’m a realtor, and more recently an affiliate marketer. It takes time to build but definitely believe in building an extra revenue source while the times are lean and when I do have more time on my hands.
Hi Lydon
I have just come across your blog today, got to admit I’m very impressed.
I have got to say survey sites are OK but not as good as affiliate or your own website, as I think the rewards are far greater with the later two, plus you seem to put more into the marketing to.
Well I have a website, it pretty much covers work from home related
stuff just like your site.
Why not come and check it out if you get time.

He is also scraping my content. Just thought I’d let you know. You might have to look back in the archives to find your stuff.
Thanks for letting me know Lisa,
I’ve contacted their hosting company and dropped them an email. I’ve edited your comment as not to give them any more traffic!
Personally there is only one work from home niche
That I feel there are any substantial rewards and that’s affiliate marketing.
Yes it’s hard to start with. But the future rewards can be life changing.
Check it out.

hello, if your here your probably researchin on working from home. Whilste its true that there are alot of scams out there (believe me i know, i’ve been stung a few times) there are legit work at home schemes that do work! This particular one I’m doing is very good, and whilste it will take a bit of effort and time to start, once its up and running its very easy to maintaine and requires very little of your time. So do yourself a favour and check it out, it may not be for you, but its definately worth the 5 mins it will take you to look at!
Funny…I stumbled across your blog for precisely this reason. I wanted to see what blogs I could find outside the world of independent consulting.
I’ve been trying to work from home as a data entry operator for 18 months and although I’m making enough money to live on, I find myself working longer hours than ever!
Affiliate marketing is a great source of income, although as said in the other comment, my other half also loves to do surveys!
James
Thanks - Mommy Enterprises is exactly what I was looking for!

It is great seeing others that work from home. I agree taking the time to see what the other half is doing could open doors.
